[South Shores Church] AnchorageYouth Behavior Contract

Events and activities hosted by AnchorageYouth are intended to provide students with opportunities for fun, along with spiritual and relational growth. In order to accomplish this safely, AnchorageYouth holds to a set of traditions. The student AND at least one of their parents must sign below, acknowledging and committing to these traditions.

1. No Junk. None of the following is allowed at our activities: tobacco, vape products, alcohol, weapons, illegal drugs, fireworks, anything potentially dangerous to yourself or the group. Any of these are cause for immediate dismissal from an event.

2. No Distractions. Phones and headphones will be discouraged during times of worship/teaching/small-group. Staff and volunteers reserve the right to impound any electronics being misused. Students should not bring, view or show others any thing that is inappropriate.

3. No Trash Talk. Students should strive to keep their language and conversations pure of foul language, gossip, or any words aimed at hurting another person. This also means respecting the privacy of others and only talking when it is appropriate to do so.

4. No Disrespect. Students will keep their physical interactions appropriate and God-honoring. This means all forms of inappropriate public displays of affection will not be tolerated; kissing, lap-sitting, separating from the group, etc. All aggressive behavior such as fighting, wrestling, shoving, kicking, etc. will not be tolerated.

5. No Ditching. Students will stick to the schedule and participate in the activities of the event. They will be present with the group at all times and not wander away. On overnight trips and activities, students will remain in their appointed sleeping areas from the “lights out” to “wake up” times.

6. No Irresponsibility. Being responsible means responding to instructions, cleaning up after one’s self, and respecting equipment/property. Self-Control is the main thing.

I, the student, have read the traditions of AnchorageYouth. I agree to hold to these traditions at all times while participating in AnchorageYouth events. I understand that if violate these traditions that I am subject to discipline that could include dismissal from the event.

I, the parent/guardian of the above student, give my full approval that they may participate in all events sponsored by South Shores Church and AnchorageYouth. This student is aware they must abide by these traditions, and be directly responsible to the AnchorageYouth staff and volunteers. I understand that if my student is dismissed early from an event due to a breach in the above traditions, it is my responsibility to bring my student home immediately.
